Military & Dependents Overview
We are proud to have you at The University of Arizona South and greatly appreciate your service to our nation. You have many choices after and during your military service, and we are pleased that you have chosen to make UA South a part of your life. We know that balancing college life with your military, career, family and personal responsibilities can be extremely challenging. UA South would like to assist you to achieve your personal and academic goals by helping you get the most out of your college education.
UA South is a Servicemembers Opportunity College (SOC), a Vets Supportive Campus, and has approved programs in Air University – Associate to Baccalaureate Cooperative (AU-ABC). We are a military-friendly institution that helps mobile military personnel and their family complete degrees without suffering a loss of credit. Although the Bachelor of Arts in History is our official SOC Degree Network System (DNS) program, we work with all active duty personnel and their family members to develop a SOC student agreement to ensure a clear pathway to degree completion. SOC DNS colleges award credit for military experience and training based on the American Council on Education's recommendations and standardized tests when it is appropriate to the degree plan.
UA South aims to facilitate your success by providing support, resources, and information that meet your unique needs as a veteran and a student.
