The University of Arizona South (UA South) and the University South Foundation, Inc., in partnership with the Arizona Folklore Preserve, Inc. (AFP), joined forces in 2002 to construct a new performing arts, cultural and multi-event center.

Nestled in Ramsey Canyon, this beautiful facility is being used for the collection and preservation of folklore of the Southern Arizona/Northern Mexico region, and as a venue for folk artists and performers to interact with students.

The Arizona Folklore Preserve offers a unique combination of convenience and rural charm with peaceful surroundings in a place of great natural beauty. This facility is a multi-event cultural center that can be used by a broad range of cultural groups, corporations, and other institutions as a site for meetings, conferences, seminars or retreats. The conference room is suitable for groups of up to 60 people. Other services are available such as equipment rental and a spacious living room for breaks, refreshments or meals during events.

Another smaller facility, the 1929 Moffett Ranch House can seat up to 10 people for smaller conferences or be used as a second location on the property for breakout sessions.
