IEEE is the Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers, the world's largest technical professional organization dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity. The student branch and IEEE Fort Huachuca are dedicated to connecting engineering professionals and promoting STEM education in Cochise County. They achieve this by providing access to a network of engineers in the Sierra Vista and Fort Huachuca area, and by encouraging students and providing educational talks to the community at the University of Arizona South campus.

The student branch of IEEE at UA South works closely with the Ft Huachuca Section of IEEE in events, activities, and community events. Monthly leadership meetings are held at lunch the first Friday of each month on campus, and monthly guest speakers are brought to campus in conjunction with UA South Continuing Education

The student branch is run by students for students, with faculty oversight from Dr. John DeLalla as branch advisor. Contact Dr. DeLalla for current branch activities and student leadership information and opportunities.
